...and that probably means whoever owned it didn't tell anyone that they did, or they would have taken more care to hide the evidence of its use. I really don't know why someone wouldn't just put something like that in their warehouse.

People might have assumed the hole in the wall was made by mining equipment otherwise... although it was really big.
