[so here they are! it's bright and early monday morning. nahida has messaged each of them asking them to meet her (honestly, she probably didn't need to message kaveh) and has fetched some mcdonald's breakfast, coffees, and orange juice for them to share. a serious discussion shouldn't be had on an empty stomach.]
Thank you all for coming. I think... I'd like to form a team with all of you, but I thought maybe we should all talk to each other first to see how we want to do this and see if we feel like we can all work well together. Would that be alright with you?
[She did not need to message Kaveh, correct. Kaveh who does in fact look very tired though listen he took a nap!! Probably!!! He's not Layla!!!
He's redone his hair into a simple braid and adjusted his hair clips to keep his bangs out of his face; Mehrak sits next to him on the floor, because he's polite and paying attention. Shu's smoking doesn't seem to bother him, because sometimes you've lived in a tavern booth both literally and metaphorically.
ANYWAY. He nods at Hikari, then looks at Shu.]
I ran into him while he was practicing with this new power we've been granted. He's very capable, and easy to speak with. [Unlike SOME PEOPLE. ALHAITHAM.]
[well, it's touch week, so i guess nahida is holding kaveh's hand. this probably makes it harder for him to work but maybe if he can't work he'll sleep for longer than a nap!! kaveh!! please!! you still look tired!!]
I've found it very easy to spend time with all three of you so far. [so... she's hoping they'll all find it easy to work with each other. it might not always work out that way!! but. she hopes.] And I think we don't differ from each other too greatly on how we want to approach things, which should make it easier to work together throughout the game.
We also have a variety of different skills... umm, other than our Psychs, I mean. So that should be helpful depending on the tasks we're given for our missions later.
[ just piping up from where he is not holding anyone's hand: ]
Two Healing Auras, two Umbrakinesis. I can tell you didn't pick us for Psych variety.
[ there's no heat behind it though. for the most part he does just look thoughtful. ] We have to have a team, or it's instant erasure after tomorrow. As long as I'm avoiding that, I can be adaptable.
I have little to offer besides in combat, but so long as we have similar goals in mind, I have no issue working with anyone.
[because hikari's standards for allies is somewhere at the bottom of the barrel where if you only tried to denounce and kill him like two times you're still good. anyway.]
Also Shu's answer is a little annoying, but. Kaveh can behave himself and not pick more fights immediately. Probably. It's more important to get Nahida into a ding-dang house.]
I suppose it's settled, then. [...] So... do we reach out to one of those three to tell them?
week 0, monday
Thank you all for coming. I think... I'd like to form a team with all of you, but I thought maybe we should all talk to each other first to see how we want to do this and see if we feel like we can all work well together. Would that be alright with you?

You've already done most of the sales pitch. There's only one of you I haven't spoken to yet.
[ hi jan ❤️ ]

My name is Hikari Ku. I would understand if you are averse to working with someone you have only just met.

Oh. I'm not actually sure.
no subject
Maybe there's an application form. Like when you sign up or something, submit a team name, group members, etc, etc.
no subject
Ah, I think I've found something... Yes, we're to submit our group members and a team name.
[uses my modly powers to assign this which is to say we didn't think of shit]

nahida is curled up in a corner of the bed, looking at profiles on her phone and rubbing at her head with her free hand.]

Trying to pinpoint who it was?
no subject
And... trying to figure out what I must have overlooked.
no subject
I'm not sure if we did overlook anything. I think we overcomplicated it, definitely.

Assuming their team psych wasn't involved, which it probably was.
no subject
[like. rang is blatantly sus. but.]
And I... I don't believe Buzen or Matsui would have done this. I... should go and talk to all four of them, but I want to gather my thoughts first.
no subject
It might not be that clear cut. Just keep that in mind. I don't think it was Buzen either, I kinda feel he'd have told us it was him at the end.
[ the others though... ]
We'll find out tomorrow. They might not want to talk today.
no subject
...I know. But... I want to give them the chance to say something, and have someone listen, if they end up wanting to take it.
I want to understand why they did it this way. And I don't know that they'll explain it tomorrow.
no subject
It wasn't Buzen or Matsui. [Quietly. Tiredly. He looks so wrung out.]
