They're black or dark brown, near their heads, but it sort of fades out to grey near their tails. They have red spines that come up from their heads, like this -

[ she is gifted with topper crawling into her lap because she has a 0 danger rating on his radar as a creature of nature. he churrs and just lets her pet him as much as she wants. ]

This one's called a catamite... and that one's just a wolf from the woods.

...how interesting. We have similar creatures in Sumeru - the Fungi. They're different shapes depending on the elements they're most aligned with, though.

...certain visions can be frightening. I don't know the details, of course, but... even if it's a little scary, it will give you an idea of how to prepare for what might come. So maybe by the time the real thing comes it won't be so scary.
