[ he's about to walk into the gym because it's Pool Hours, but stops short of the door when he spots nahida walking by. ]

[the way i stopped to think about if nahida would know how to swim or not and was weighing the hypothetical knowledge she would have accumulated from dreams versus if i've ever seen her swimming in cutscenes after she left the sanctuary of surasthana and then realized literally every genshin character can swim as long as they have the stamina for it]

anyway, she is resting in a basic chair she's dragged outside of the go to sleep warehouse, both because she needs some fresh air and because if the situation was reversed she would be frantic with worry if someone else was resting in a warehouse and she couldn't get in to check on them.

when she sees haru, she smiles.]

week 1, friday

[well this sucks.

where is haru? nahida is coming to find him. she probably runs for the pool as soon as she sees the announcement about rin, but if he's not there, she'll start searching for him.]

[ thankfully, she's right! he's at the pool. though he stays submerged as long as he can, just hanging out near the bottom of the water.

he'll have to come up for air eventually, though he does so without saying anything. sorry for the useless tag britt he's emo ]

week 1, saturday

they did it? they did it... but it doesn't really feel good at all, as nahida knows from catching yuyu last week, so. she goes to find haru again.]

[ no, it doesn't feel great at all. she would know, maybe better than anyone.

he's over at the canals, his legs dangling over the water where he sits, doing nothing more than contemplating the water. ]

...I thought it'd be more satisfying. [ catching them. ]

week 2, sunday

[it isn't until later in the day that nahida leaves her warehouse, after the execution - and when she does, it's to find somewhere quiet. today, that means the playground in the central area.

she's sitting on one of the swings, looking at the rulebook on her phone as she gently swings back and forth.

her emotions are regretful, more than anything else, at this point.]

[ the swings are so cute. no one murder at the swings.

even hours later, haru's vibes are absolutely atrocious; when he gets closer, it's just a wellspring of lingering shock, the constant pulse of grief, regret, and frustration. but he kind of has it together when he talks, at least. ]

Nahida. [ he doesn't interrupt her swinging, pausing before sitting on one of the other swings, further away. ] We should talk this week.

week 3, tuesday

[rng has given me the vr room, so here's nahida, looking contemplative. she has a vr headset in her hands that she hasn't put on yet.

when she spots haru, she waves.]

[ hewwo. now that they're past the worst of the crippling depression weekend and emotion share... he can just look curiously at what she's doing. ]

you can skip player-controlled fights - 1:47-3:08, 3:40-4:49, 9:16-12:42, but with Nahida as the trial character you can assume she fought alongside them in that last one

[ i agree, the genesis and immediate downfall of a god is absolutely the best thing to give to a normie

the scope of what's going on is so beyond what he could comprehend a month ago that it's almost easier to accept; like watching something fictional play out, except that experiencing the gravity of it all for himself. nahida defeating another deity, not alone, but still in her own way.

he's still sort of wrestling with it all when they emerge from the memory, but at least it wasn't as upsetting unless you're a scaramouche stan. it's just a lot. ]

anyway nahida comes looking for haru once he's had some time to get more healing and check in with his team. can't believe you and siz really both just made alli suffer this week... well, no, i can.]

Haru? I just wanted you to know... I spoke with Ylfa earlier, and she let me heal some of her wounds. But... I do still have some power left if you're still in pain, too.

[ he's just out at the pool, not in the water but just kind of hanging around it. ]

[on the one hand, haru and ylfa definitely deserve some privacy to sort out their team's affairs. on the other, she's worried about both of their injuries, so she'll swing by at some point to check on them. right now it's haru's turn.]
