We might have been able to accomplish the same thing with fewer loops, but... for a full analysis of his fighting style, I wanted to cover every option. All the force he puts into his attacks didn't matter once the Traveler knew how long they would take to prepare, the trajectory with which they would land, and which techniques he was likely to use to try to counter the Traveler's own moves.
He put a lot of power into that blast, but... we were able to bypass getting hit by just taking one small step to the side. It frustrated him, and then he got sloppy. He made mistakes.
...when you know your enemy, you can win, even when they're physically more powerful than you. But you need information to do it, and... gathering information is something I excel at.
