It seemed like it's something we'll find out as we go along. I guess in a way it would be unfair if only people who thought to ask got a hint about what they should expect.

Perhaps not. Although, they did say they would be around and reachable by phone tomorrow, so I'm going to give it a little bit longer in case I think of any questions I need to ask before I decide.

...maybe that's not a bad idea. If they wouldn't answer in front of everyone, maybe you can get something a little different?

Maybe. Or I might just think of a question I didn't think to ask in the moment, before.

Kind of hard to think of everything when they put us on the spot for it... not like we knew we needed to prep for questions.

Yeah. Seems like they're easy enough to talk to, too, even if you don't really get the info you wanted.

I only got to speak with two of them... I'll have to introduce myself to Aika tomorrow.

I think she's one of the ones I talked to...? She's not so bad, either.

They seemed nicer than I expected, for overseers.

They don't have a reason not to be, probably? If they're not the ones running everything... they're just taking orders.

...even people who are just following orders can be cruel, so I'm relieved that these three seem as though they're not.

Depends more on who they are than just the fact they're overseers. That's usually how it goes... some of my coworkers all treated their employees pretty differently, even though we were all in the same position.

Really? How did they treat them?

[abstractart]

Malkuth was pretty hard on them at first... said she didn't want weak employees in her department. Hod wanted to take good care of them, but she kinda smothered them in the process, and Yesod has always been strict with his... they seem like they probably respect him, though, even if they still call him a viper.

... they're the ones who used to work in the upper levels with me, so... I was less familiar with everyone else's management. Feels like everyone started getting along better with their departments over time though.

What was your management style like?

It wasn't, really? Back at our former job... I just kind of let them do whatever. Figured they'd do fine, anyway.

It's a little more hands-on at the new one.

Your current job... that's the Floor of Art?

[abstractart]

Yeah. I'm the librarian in charge of all the books about art.

What does being in charge of those books entail?

[abstractart]

Collecting them, organizing them... studying the art of the City, and receiving guests to the Library.

Does the Library receive many guests?
