All the people of Sumeru City had been trapped within a dream, based on an event that had happened in reality the day before. Each time the dream reset, they thought that they were experiencing it for the first time...
But in the real world, their minds and bodies were withering away.
A dream... so rather than them physically entering a state of loops, it's just a concept in their minds.
That doesn't sound any less dangerous, especially if their minds and bodies are at risk in the actual world. [ like jeez. that's pretty bad?? ] If something were to happen to their bodies..
It's no less dangerous. There is only so much strain that the human body can take. Even in a state of deep sleep, humans still need sustenance. If they're left motionless for too long, their muscles will atrophy.
And for those who are sick or otherwise compromised to begin with... their bodies can't receive the treatment they need, but their disease doesn't stop just because they're sleeping.
...no. Luckily, we were able to resolve the situation. We identified the host of the dream, and made her realize that she was dreaming; once that happened, she woke up, and everyone who was trapped within the Sabzeruz Festival samsara was freed.
..That's good. A situation like that seems much more dire than my own.
[ because even if they... are erased, or die, they just move onto the next loop.
but piggie thinks it's time for another memory, so here you go! as a note, the player's name is actually "Takashi" in Setsu's case. also the video doesn't show FIVE DAYS OF DISCUSSIONS but you have an idea of how those discussions go so you can probably fill that in hehe. the doubting, the voting for cold sleep, someone being erased in the new day, etc. ]
what a terrifying situation. it's not unlike what they're going through now, in a way - though the discussions do go by much more quickly than the trials do... but there's something almost more frightening about the damage to the ship, and the debris, and...]
That was... when you first entered the loop, then?
[ they're kind of holding their head a little at they relive that memory, but they seem to recompose rather quickly. ]
..Yes. It was. It happened... what feels like, a long time ago. But I do remember it vividly. [ after all, that's when it all began. ] I would've died that day if I hadn't entered the loops.
That was. Our loops never have been in sync to begin with. To them, their loops may be static, and for myself, they may be static as well... but whenever we meet, we are always in different loops from one another.
It does, but, anytime we do start off together, we can sync up our keys. It lets me know what loop they're on. And, we can compare a bit of knowledge but a lot of things are tied behind events and conditions we find throughout the loops.
[ so they still need to go out and search for new information. ]
[me hissing every time i got the flag for "gnosia gina will probably sacrifice herself to repair the ship" but sOME MOTHERFUCKER GOT HER VOTED OUT FOR COLD SLEEP BEFORE IT COULD HAPPEN it took me like five tries!!!!]

A... different set of loops? [ they have a hand holding their head a little cause wowie. the sense of déjà vu that comes with these memories. ] ..What happened?

It is. But... it's fine. I've become so accustomed to it, that it doesn't overwhelm me as it did the first time.

...humans really are so resilient.

When there's something to protect and fight for, they don't give up so easily.
[ at least Setsu won't. ]
