Eventually the numbers will whittle down, in theory. And some teams might choose to stick in a smaller group. Look at this way — you can keep mixing it up, but you gain numbers and lose trust.
Smaller groups might be more at risk, but if it’s a group that trusts each other they have advantages over the others.

It may turn out that it's not possible, of course. But... it doesn't explicitly say that you cannot ever change which team you are on. "You will choose teammates at the start of the game" implies it, but it doesn't outright say that you can't make another choice later.

I don’t know whether you could consider someone as part of a team if they change groups. I doubt this place would be kind enough to revive multiple people across teams without a real bit of arm twisting in the process.
