Yeah... I guess it's just like, the fact that everyone thought it was me up until almost the last minute. It makes it feel like we pulled some kind of cheap trick right at the end, even though we didn't. Like, if people had been suspecting them the whole time too then it'd be different.
[ ... ]
I think... most of them are really going to think it was me now, even if they didn't before. And it's going to be even harder to prove it wasn't now that all the evidence and everything is gone.
[ he's been looking over his shoulder and fearing for his life for twelve fucking years, this just proved that he can't think about stopping that now. ]
Someone already tried to frame me for this, so that's at least one who's fine with seeing me get erased even though they know I didn't do anything. And then who knows how many actually believe it...
Mm... I think what Monika was saying near the end about using Drift Aura for the axe traps might have been important, at least for Miss Lambda.
[ ... ]
I've kinda been wondering if maybe it wasn't Mr. Vash or Mr. Wolfwood, for her. We didn't look at them too hard since one of their team members died, a-and I didn't really think they'd try to frame our team since Mr. Livio's there, but... I don't know.
Maybe someone from TBD or Yuneyuze, if Miss Shenhe was the only one who used Cryokinesis, and one of them had that flamethrower.
It might be, but I wonder about that... they need to be able to see where they're teleporting to, don't they? If the door wasn't open enough for them to see, would that still have worked?
...but I can't use Drift Aura, so I've never been able to experiment with it myself.
[...she shakes her head.]
It couldn't have been Vash. He wouldn't have been able to use Cryokinesis, if we're thinking that was still in play because of the unnatural coldness in her mouth and her wounds. And I can't see Wolfwood framing your team because... like you said. Livio is there.
And the two of them would know very well that Livio would try to "take responsibility," if your team received the votes but didn't have a culprit. That doesn't feel like something they would risk.
...knowing who has the flamethrower is the problem, isn't it? Someone clearly purchased it, but we have no way of knowing where it ended up. Anyone with even a shred of sense would just keep it in their warehouse where no one from another team could see it.
They said the doors were open a little, which sounded like it might be enough...? But I don't really know how it works either.
[ he nods at the logic about vash and wolfwood, though. ]
Yeah... I think you're probably right.
[ even if the whole justice team comes off as very self-sacrificing, it was probably obvious that either fukuzawa or livio would be the one to actually take the fall in a situation like that. (no one would let amelia do that, and lmao it sure as fuck wouldn't be him.)
he frowns. ]
But then the weird cold thing... means either Miss Shenhe killed her first, or it was faked completely...? I-I know some teams supposedly have fridges, but I don't think it'd be that simple...
...we should have tested it. We could have opened a door just the same way and had someone with Drift Aura try it out in front of us.
[shit i wish i had thought about yesterday,,,]
It can't be that simple. If a fridge was involved, her skin would have been cold, too. But they didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until they felt inside her mouth and the wounds, right?
Yeah. That's why I don't... understand what it was.
...I don't think we ever really figured out the Rin hallucination thing, but... it couldn't have been something like that, could it? Making whoever looked at the body feel something that wasn't there...? It seems too weirdly specific...
...I'd assumed that Rin was responsible for that, somehow. To try to help us. But I can't see how what happened with the temperature could have been helpful in any way.

What are you going to do about it...?

I don't know. Keep trying to figure out who actually did it, I guess.
