It's interesting to see how the teams are shaping up so far.

Only there are enough of us, so no one's getting left out.

Oh, but they get assigned to students at the Akademiya.

But I think the students at the Akademiya would be startled and more than a little uncomfortable if I suddenly enrolled in a class alongside them.

But it's okay. I've learned quite a bit on my own, and I'm still learning new things each day.

Kind of weird to think about going to class as if I weren't used to it.

Like having that outside perspective.

It's interesting to think about things from another point of view, isn't it?

Yeah. Interesting's the right word. Thinking about how you and your whole life must seem to new people.

Do you think about that stuff much or nah?

[dendroculi]

I do. It's not always as productive as I'd like, because my way of thinking is shaped by my own perspective and my own experiences and it's hard to move away from those, but it's fun to try to imagine other ones.

What's your outsider perspective on your teammates? They seem cool to me.

[dendroculi]

They're both kind in their own ways. Hikari seems to want to help others around him, and that's an ideal I can agree with. He and Kaveh seem like they're going to get along well.

Shu seems to operate more on logic than kindness, at least on the surface. But, he gave me advice when he didn't need to the day we first arrived here, so I think he's kinder than he likes to act.

I think he's nicer than he seems, yeah.

And besides, it can be good to have someone more logical to balance things out before you all get too emotional.

Yes. It's important to strike a good balance for these sorts of things. Too much in either direction would be a bad thing.

Which way do you lean?

I try to strike a good balance, but I think maybe my feelings run away with me sometimes.

tbh I think people overrate logic a little bit.

How so?

I don't know how to explain it right.

But if you have the choice, I don't think it's that bad to prioritize how people feel over what's more "logical." If you can come to come kind of understanding isn't that like... Better? Even if it's not sooo perfectly calculated?

That makes sense.

As long as it's a solution that still works, I'd prefer to do things with that sort of method anyway. An ideal outcome isn't just one that ticks all the boxes for success, but one that all parties involved are happy with.
