I don't really know. The only kind I've seen is like the ones on daytime tv.
But usually there's a person being accused from the start. And then them and the person accusing them both get a lawyer, and it's their job to present evidence and argue their case.
Then a group of neutral parties vote, basically, for who they think was right.
