Nah, that's basically it. You get to roll the ball twice per turn, so you can try and knock down the ones you missed with your first try. And we just go back and forth doing that.

[ alex doesn't care about bowling enough to know exactly how the scoring works, but? the machines will probably do that for them. ]

Be sure to pick a ball that's not too heavy for you.

...oh! there it is! once the ball comes to a stop, she picks it back up and returns to the lane. aims, rolls, and... it knocks over four of the remaining eight pins.

her ears droop a little.]

Hey, that was a good first attempt! Pretty sure I've seen worse. Like... accidentally throwing the ball down a totally different lane worse.

[ alex rolls the bowling ball down the lane and hits 7 pins. not too shabby!! ]

[ i'm not rolling dice because i'm lazy, and as such... as soon as alex gets her ball back she gets a gutter ball.

and then just keeps talking confidently like she didn't. ]

I've got a little more practice, that's all. There's a bowling alley not too far from school. We've skipped class to go bowling, like, a dozen times. [ like twice. but whatever. ]
