In the end, he'll make up his own mind about what he wants to do. And though others may want differently for him... ultimately, it will be his choice, and his alone.
[she looks sad when she says this, though. and feels sad, too.]
It's possible that all we'll be able to do is respect his decision, and try to pick up the pieces in the aftermath. I... want better than that for him, and for Rang, but it isn't my place to determine how he feels or what he does. All I can do is try to find out enough about the truth of our circumstances to help him make an informed decision.
Mm. [He's quiet for a little while.] Kazuki told me he wanted to do something for Buzen. Maybe a painting. We'd thought about the skate park, so Matsui wouldn't have to see it, but now I wonder...
[...If maybe they should consider doing something for both of them, together.]
[nahida looks thoughtful at that. they don't yet know what's going to befall matsui, but she wonders if seeing a reminder of buzen and how much he meant to people here - how many people would be willing to fight for him - might be of help.]
...if you need supplies, I can help purchase more. If a painting was something the two of you wanted to do.
I'd appreciate it. [...] There are a lot of artists here. And people who'd want to help, I think. Maybe we can start some kind of mural.
[There are the crosses in the park, and the flower crowns and lotuses--and maybe it would be cruel of them to spread reminders of the dead beyond that. But everything's going to end up a painful reminder in the long run, isn't it? So maybe, as long as they pick somewhere that people can avoid if they want to, it'll be okay.]
Then, let me know what you need. I'm not the most artistically inclined, but... I can at least contribute this much.
[the artists in this cast would do a much better job with a mural. she'll fund it. it's just a shame she doesn't have the akademiya's coffers at her disposal for the funding...]
I was thinking of designing something where that wouldn't matter. [Maybe a large sketch with sections that people could fill in with colors of their choosing, or something along those lines.] But I haven't decided yet. I'll let you know.

Buzen told me he would keep trying. [There's a wash of fresh sadness and guilt, there.] I owe it to him to do the same.

I promised Buzen that I would try to help Matsui. I owe it to him, too.
