I wonder how easy to follow the instructions are. I can't say I've ever built furniture before.

Right... I guess some people are just like that.

Depends on what you're building. The instructions are just pictures, but there are enough pieces that if you read it wrong or something, you can mess up pretty badly. [ ... ] You probably shouldn't try to build something by yourself.

You could say that.

Some pieces can get heavy or awkward, so it's better to have at least two people to help. It can make it more complicated if you're both interpreting the instructions differently, though.

[ sighs. he just met the guy and he's already tired. ]

Alright, I'll try to check in on him sometimes and see how he's doing. It's the least I can do.

Yeah, that's me. [ glances back at her. ] You're not really five hundred years old.

...I thought I was older than that, actually, but maybe I just lost count over the years.

How could you be older? Five hundred isn't even physically possible in the first place.

I think maybe what is and isn't possible might differe from place to place.

Hmm, well... by talking with some of the others here, I've learned that what seems normal to them might sound very strange to me, or vice versa. I'm pretty old even for the place where I come from, but even taking that into account... I actually do know people who are even older than me.

But that sounds strange to you, right?

Yeah... The oldest people usually don't live past one hundred and ten, I think? Even a hundred's pretty crazy, let alone five hundred or more.

Then again, it's like half of you walked right out of a movie set.

It must be confusing. At least for those of us who are used to people being much older, people being younger isn't that strange, because we're accustomed to people of that age, too...

[hmm.]

Would it be easier to think of us as being from a movie?

It's the most likely explanation, where I'm from? That or cosplay. I don't really want to be delude myself, either, but this whole setup is pretty crazy.

...I don't even remember how I supposedly died anyway. It's all very strange.

I... think I know what would have happened to me. [ what a surreal conversation. ] But it's fuzzy. I don't remember actually dying or anything, just... the situation we were in.

But it's hard to believe we're supposed to be dead when so many people were having a normal day before this.

It feels strange to want proof of this, but... since we don't feel very dead, it would be helpful to have proof of what happened beyond our own fuzzy memories.
