I never really got what he meant. Isn't the truth supposed to be the truth, like it is now? There wasn't really any other path, but it still doesn't feel right, either.
It's a creature in Sumeru that has a symbiotic relationship with mushrooms that grow on its back.
Some people only see the mushroom on the Shroomboar's back, and they conclude that a Shroomboar is a mushroom. Others see only the Shroomboar's body, and they declare that a Shroomboar is a boar. Still others look deeper inside, and determine that a Shroomboar is... meat.

These conclusions are all correct in their own way, but none of them objectively describe the Shroomboar. Still... to the people who describe the Shroomboar in this way, that is their "truth".
That's the difference between subjective truth and objective truth, I suppose.
Shroomboars can be a source of mushrooms. They can also be a source of meat. Objectively speaking - they're both. But you can remove the mushrooms from the boar, and both can still exist separately. Plant the mushroom in the soil again, and it may continue to grow. Treat the wound where the mushroom had been embedded onto its back, and the boar can continue on with its life.
