I think it's probably a little of both. And it's going to be very dangerous if we keep acting like it doesn't exist.
...it doesn't feel safe to talk about it freely, but... I think a lot of the things we haven't been able to explain more make sense if there's some way to do them that not everyone knows about.
Umm, Netzach. Of the people you feel may be closer to the lead now... do you feel any differently about them than you did about the people who were in the lead the last time we spoke about this?
At the time, we thought it was your team, Sweet Theory, and Justice that had a shot at being in the lead.
Now, it would be... your team a little higher up, if Zelda did actually manage to kill Fukuzawa. Justice, if he was indeed the one who killed her. Sweet Theory, I think. I... [she hesitates.] The bullets we found from the handgun that Luo Wenzhou confirmed Fei Du would have shot looked extremely similar to the bullets found inside Shen Qingqiu. So, they would have belonged to the same type of gun. He had a full pack of ammunition, but what if he wasn't being honest about someone else buying the others before he could get more? If we got it wrong and Fei Du killed Shen Qingqiu before being killed himself... [she shakes her head.] ...it feels wrong to speculate about it when he's not here to defend himself. But I don't know where those bullets would have come from otherwise. And even if it wasn't him, their team is still ahead of mine.
And then there's Froggystyle... I know you said you and Yuzuriha trust the three of us, but would you also trust them?
...I don't know Justice well enough to trust them, but I didn't trust Fukuzawa. Guess I was right, with the way he decided to erase her. I don't mind the last three, but I wouldn't make them the offer we made you-- I wouldn't have for Sweet Theory, either.
We... talked about Froggystyle too though. It was between you guys and them. It's just that, you know... it's Haru and Ylfa, and putting that on their shoulders is a lot, but I do trust all three of them.
[ultimately they went with the group that is at least all adults.]
I think... Justice is probably only one ahead of my team. I think Fukuzawa was probably their first culprit. [she looks down] Putting that on Froggystyle's shoulders is a lot. If I could, I would take the burden from them myself.
...do you still think my team is a good choice for this? Even though we're far behind?
I do, if we can manage it, but if you think there's a better choice, I'd... probably follow you on that.
If it really came to it-- you wouldn't have our help anymore, but we could give you a pretty big boost, if Yuzu agreed. Help you out, then, uh... give you the points from erasing us both. I'd rather they go to someone we choose than just losing one of us.
[her ears droop at that. what did she just say!! about talking lightly about your death!! netzach!!]
...mm. If we're going to do something like that, we need to make absolutely sure that whoever gets that boost is someone we can trust to use the points the way that would be best for the group as a whole. Whether that's my team or another... I'll definitely let yo know.
[...]
But I'd really... I'd really prefer to earn the points another way. You're my friend, and I care about you. And I feel the same way about Yuzuriha. WHen we get to the end of all of this, I want you to be at my side, instead of somewhere off in the distance, waiting for me to bring you back.
It'll be more effort and risk to do it the hard way. You saw how determined Wenzhou was to catch them-- Nahri, too.
I want to live, don't get me wrong, and I want to be able to actually help instead of just wait for you. I'm not exactly in any hurry to risk everything. But it wouldn't be the first time I gave my life up, except this time...
This time it would mean more than just-- being okay with dying if it all went wrong. I didn't think I had anything to live for, then.
A lot of its thinking and mindset was influenced by the forbidden knowledge it had been polluted with. I don't know if the way it thinks will change as it rests, now that it's been healed, but... even if it doesn't, that's alright with me, as long as Sumeru stays safe.
...we purged the forbidden knowledge from Teyvat by erasing it from Irminsul. But... Apep's heart, which had been heavily polluted by forbidden knowledge, was left as a void. The elemental energy inside of it couldn't be regulated, and if it had perished, all of it would have been released and thrown the natural order of things out of balance. Ecosystems would be devastated, the people would suffer...
[she shakes her head.]
Apep hates me and the other gods. But, I had to try to heal it, or else it would be bad for Sumeru.
So even though it treated you that way after being healed...
[her willingness to do it for the good of sumeru anyway is EXACTLY WHY he will continue to think anyone who has issues with this god are wrong, thank you very much.]
Yes. I'm not sure I'll ever understand it, and I don't think it will ever understand me. But it's allowed to think what it wants of me or speak to me however it wants as long as Sumeru is safe from threat.
...so that's who carmen was. inwardly, nahida is a little enraged at this place for taking someone so important to him and using her against him on his cyoa.]
...see? You want to live. That's why I don't want to just erase you for points.

[her brows furrow.]
I think maybe we've all been relying a little too much on clues about Psychs to determine the culprits.
