[nahida is extremely unhappy with this turn of events.
...but it's not like there aren't other people who will be upset about this, too. hikari had been with rin before they all got locked in, after all; they must have been friends. so, after a little bit of time to process the notification they've all received, she goes to look for him.
It's not a guarantee, but it's a possibility. The Reaper I spoke to said it wasn't the default, but that if it could happen, it would take a lot of points.
...so it's a possiblity I'm not willing to give up on.
[here they are at the museum, where nahida lives now!
...all jokes aside, she is looking at the exhibits. right now, she's stopped in front of a display of what looks like an old-timey liquor store. there are two men behind the counter: one who is mixing a drink, and one who is drinking straight from the bottle. the man mixing a drink is very tall and wearing a top hat.
she's examining the informational plaque that accompanies it.]
Hmm... there was a man named Abraham Lincoln, who was the president of a country. But he was also a licensed bartender, before he was president... it says here that he opened a liquor store named "Berry and Lincoln" with a friend of his, but the store had to close down after his friend, a raging alcoholic, consumed most of the shop's supply.
That's a good question. Maybe his friend did it while he was out of the shop, and tried to pass off the missing stock as just having been sold to customers?

no subject
[oh, she thinks she sees what's happening here.]
Hehe. If you're worried, would you like to join me on my walk?
no subject

[ holds his hand out for her to take ]

no subject
[she reaches for his hand, because it is still touch week.]
...he was your friend. This must be so hard.
no subject
Wh- no. I only spoke to him a couple of times. You two were on a team...
[ squeezes her hand though ]
no subject
That - that just means we can bring him back if my team earns enough points. We'll work extra hard for his sake.
