...I think it may have been partly that. But it was also... [her brow furrows.] My thoughts... my mindset... even my body... all of them were the way they were when I was younger.
[ ……… come to think of it, he only knows that to kaveh, nahida is or is like a god. and that she’s the god of sumeru. he’s never probed beyond that. ]
— Or. Pause that for a moment. What actually happened to you guys, while you were somewhere else? You all came back injured and different ages, and carrying those weird stones.
[well, she starts to answer him, but he says pause. so she does not.
instead, she refocuses.]
...it's... it was a lot. We were in Teyvat. Or... it seemed like we were. [she digs through her things to pull out the anemo vision she came back with, then holds it out to him.] This is a Vision, but... do you see the frame it's encased in? It's what Visions look like when they come from Liyue. The ones in Sumeru look different.
[ he also nods. he wants to ask about the element — he’s pretty sure it’s not one he’s heard before, and not with regards to nahida and her godhood. but.
...we were all separated from each other at first. I don't know what happened to the other three... I know we all started off in a cave, though.
[...]
There was a monster inside of it. For me... there were three other people with me. Two children and a young woman. ...they begged me to save them, but I - I wasn't able to.
[but even that wasn't enoug to save the other people she was stuck in there with.]
After that... there was a portal. I went through it, and it took me to the Jade Chamber... which is a building that floats in the skies over Liyue. That was where I came across Kaveh and Setsu, but they looked like small children... I didn't recognize them, either. And I don't think they recognized me.
No, but it was surprising. I think people recognised Kaveh, and Setsu when they got close enough to really look at them — I’m not sure about Matsui, though.
But I don’t anyone could tell it was you until you turned back.

...I hit my head a few times...

Younger? You looked— [ uhh ]— you looked older than you do now.

as far as she's aware, anyway. thanks for nothing, irminsul.]

Do the symbols mean something different too?
[ he taps the little wings on the vision. ] And… Liyue, that’s where Shenhe’s from, isn’t it?
no subject
[...she nods.]
Mm. It's where Shenhe is from.

Did you figure out why they were small? They were small when you came back here too, and didn't recognise any of us.
