It might be fun to try some of the carnival games... these VR things are sort of like a game themselves, aren't they? Is it possible to make a game within a game?
I think so. As far as I can tell it's all about making yourself imagine it clearly and the whole thing, uh, responds? At least I think that's right.
[ and as an example, he stops to think for a few moments....and soon sumeru city disappears and a large carnival of bright lights, rides, and a midway of games with prizes appears all around them. the ferris wheel looms in the distance, and the sugary scent of cotton candy and kettle corn wafts around them. ]
[her eyes are sparkling as she looks around. she takes a few steps oward one of the games, then pauses, looking right and left at all the other different options.]
...there are so many things to try, I don't even know where to start!
[ cute...love this for her. he's easily following after her, but he continues to walk slowly even when she stops to examine the games around them. ]
Start with something you think you might do good with. There're the dart-throwing games or the basketball-shooting games or the fishbowl games...actually? A lot of carnival games involve throwing stuff. So there's that.
[her arms are probably a little too wimpy for her to do very well at the basketball ones. she would not risk yeeting a basketball and nearly hitting a group of people standing nearby who are just innocently trying to eat their food...

she wanders over to that one to give it a try.]

Don't be afraid to throw it hard. You need a ton of speed to pop these things.

...it sticks to the target, but it's not a bullseye. her ears droop a little.]

Try again, but a little harder. And aim a little higher so that when it starts to dip it'll angle itself.

it's still not exactly a bullseye, but it's closer. she smiles.]
Hehe, I'm improving!

[ he picks up a dart, and he looks at the target. and he throws it!
it is a bullseye because he has, actually, had practice. ]
Lots, and lots of practice.

Wow, that was great!

Statistically? I had to be good at something. Let's keep trying until you get one too, okay?
[ and to save both of us considering this is w3 monday we can handwave and said they did that and let this go c: ]
