ikea seems like a good place to run into people, and he's here again once again carrying his emotional support shark that he can't take out of the store. he's casually walking through, but he backtracks a few steps when he notices someone a few feet away. ]
Nahida? [ that was her name, right? he's pretty sure. ]
[nahida is eating a strawberry shortcake from the ikea restaurant menu. i just realized i've never actually eaten at ikea before can we eat there next time i come down, i'm curious.
[ this is a sad child. this is a sad nahida, and jonas happens to run into her probably on his way back to his own warehouse. they kind of knew this would happen eventually, and jonas has been...a little more pragmatic about it with most people.
but this is nahida who has been nothing but kind to him and who lost a teammate already. so he softens his approach just a little. ]
Nahida? [ he just says her name to get her attention and mostly to gauge if she's willing to talk to him at all. ]
[she looks up at the sound of his voice and seems to be trying to pull herself together, because she tries to school her expression so it's not quite so sad. she isn't entirely successful.]

[ after escaping the coliseum, jonas has made his way back to the park! he still has the cigarette he was working on, and he's wandering to the food trucks with some wariness as he takes a look at the choices.

[ after...all of that and after jonas has figured out the tall lady was nahida, he let someone else take care of her and had left with his team, likely.
but it doesn't mean he's not concerned. he's not sure if he wants to try and track her down (and kind of hopes she's not out somewhere), so he takes the easy route. ]

[ the vr establishment seems to be really popular since jonas has been watching people wander in and out all day, but it doesn't deter him. instead, he looks over to where nahida is and offers her a short smile.

but he tilts his head back to look at her, frowning softly in thought. ]
