I don't know if it means much, but I never would've guessed until you said something. So I think you're doing okay. Don't feel too bad either. Pretty sure even people who always deal with people don't understand them all the time.
[she learns something new about interacting with people each day. if it's harder to tell that she feels a little awkward or that she doesn't quite understand the people around her, that just means she's retaining what she's learned.]
Of course. I'd be really sad if we weren't able to keep talking.
...as far as I'm concerned, we may all have separate teams, but... as Players, we're all essentially in the same boat. Rather than thinking of each other as enemies and nothing else, we should do what we have to in order to survive while also looking for solutions that will allow us to help each other.
I'm not ready to accept that only one of our teams can win just yet.
[ she sounds very much like alex right now and it's just something jonas has been hearing in stereo this weekend. he can't say if he agrees or disagrees yet because it's far too soon to see where everyone else falls, but...it's a nice, idealistic version of things.
you'd think people would agree that they're all in the same boat and should be helping each other. but that's only if you don't think about people who are self-motivated, or people who want to end things quickly, or even people who're just kind of assholes and don't care about what's going on with other people.
jonas himself is in the camp of caring about other people for now. he's mostly hoping it can stay that way. ]
It's a nice way of looking at it. And I don't think that's bad. We have to do the best we can for as long as we can, and the only way we can do that is with other people anyway.
[ whether that's all of them as a collective or just their team. ]
Right. This isn't the type of game that any of us can succeed at alone.
[it's hard to succeed at most things alone, actually.
will this turn into an "us against them" thing eventually? maybe. will nahida have to accept that there isn't a solution to save everyone eventually? quite possibly. but for right now, there are still so many unknowns. it might be easier to accept it at face value and to harden her heart against the other teams, but...
...she doesn't want to live like that. not until she's exhausted all other possible options. and it's too soon to just take the easy way out, shrug, and say "well, that's how it is" while plotting to survive at someone else's expense.]
[ and this is why jonas keeps such thoughts to himself. what's the sense in breaking people's spirits this early? some people are good at being optimistic. some people are good at trying to save everyone.
jonas is only good at doing his best, whatever that ends up being. ]
Then I guess it's a good thing there's forty of us. [ if one door shuts, another can open. or something. ]
[they'll have plenty of different people to work with, in theory.]
...I think we'll make ourselves tired thinking too hard about this for now, though. Maybe we should sleep on it and see if we come up with anything new to ask or consider in the morning.
[npc q&as are always a little harrowing, after all...]
You're probably not wrong about that. [ very funny from someone on team go to sleep but i can't have him say it because i don't remember if they were official on sunday or not. ] They said they'd be around so...not like it's going to be a huge rush like today.

Sure, but what are you thanking me for? [ he was really just out here saying whatever he thought needed to be said. ]

[ he didn't doubt that, but he also is a little relieved to think that maybe it's not that hard to talk to people now. ]

[ let's hope things don't change to where it's too hard to go cross-team. ]

Exactly. We don't have to feel pressured to ask all our questions at once... it's okay to take our time and consider what it is we really want to ask.
