...i don't know if you've heard this but there IS a game master at the head of all of this so i guess the answer is them? they'd be the one who can say when things will stop maybe it's just all about seeing what will push us far enough to erase someone else
Yes, I've heard that the Reapers have someone they answer to.
But all we have to go on so far are our experiences. Last week, we didn't have an extra rule, and no one went through anything similar to what the four of us did. We don't have any way of knowing that whoever has orchestrated this game will think that's enough new things to spring on us.
We should be on our guards for anything similar to these things repeating again, but... should also be aware that there may be more unknown challenges we'll have to face.
it's not a bad idea to be as prepared as we can even if the only preparation we can do is to be aware things might change under our feet but even before that, we still have to get through tonight we don't know if anything will happen but...if it does, we have a long couple of days ahead

Setsu stayed to watch over you while we went to get Matsui, and then we got pulled into separate rooms to retrieve Shu and Shenhe.
