[ lambda will go looking nahida sometime later, after all of that.

where is nahida!! ]

[she has bailed from the hotel and is searching shibuya for somewhere else to sleep, mainly trying to avoid crowded places and keeping to the shadows of the buildings so she won't get spotted



but at one point she just goes motionless and stares at something straight ahead of her with horror. nothing is there, though. it's just a normal street.]

[diluvian]

... Nahida.

[ lambda moves to stand in front of her and waits. this is something quite serious, if it's causing this much of a traumatic response from a god. ]

[dendroculi]

[it takes a bit, before she blinks and seems to come out of it -

and there's a stray thought of ...it didn't fall apart after all- before several overlapping voices drown the thought out in her mind, but because they're all talking concurrently, it's impossible to make out what's being said.]

...Lambda?

[diluvian]

[ she tilts her head. something happened here. what kind of effect....? ]

That's my name. What didn't fall apart?

The - the world.

Everything was crumbling...

[ it's not a concept she's unused to. ]

Some loops are like that. The universe falls apart, and we start again in another. Is this another loop now...?

[ well, she can't argue that there are things that are wrong with some world or universes. ]

Not the kind of loop you're thinking of. It's not going to fall apart like what you're thinking, not if it goes the way as planned.

[dendroculi]

[she closes her eyes and brings a hand up to her head. her thoughts are the jumbled whispers, talking over each other to the point that what's being said can't be made out, but she nods.]

...right. I'll - I'll try to remember that.

[diluvian]

What are you hearing in your head, Nahida?

[ she figures there's no use tiptoeing around it. ]

[dendroculi]

The Gnos... I think.

[...]

[diluvian]

What are they telling you?

[ it is even telling? can she even make sense of whatever it is? ]

...it's just so many voices at once. I can't really tell.

[diluvian]

... you probably know this better than I do, but it should fade soon enough.

[she nods]

...I just have to outlast it, is all.

[The memory of it won't fade, but... maybe it will be easier to deal with, then. I'll just take it one step at a time.]
