It's been...weird. It's been weird since we got back, and I'm not sure how to change that. [ hah. ] I have all of these scars and injuries I reasonably shouldn't have because we weren't gone that long on this plane, but after the decades of being in the other one they've set in pretty deep. I can't just remember memories of that whole life either. Those are going to have to stay.
...do you want me to take a look at them? I'm tapped out on healing from when people came back, but I can at least be able to verify what I saw if people ask later.
I'd appreciate it. I...Nahri healed us a few times on our mission, so some of the wounds are gone. But the others were from all kinds of years.
[ which means he's okay taking off his jacket and also his shirt? confidence week, and also he trusts nahida. she can see there are..various bandages and gauze on different stabs and bullet wounds that had opened up along his back, chest and arms. a lot of grazing wounds, some thin slices, some bigger ones. his hands are extremely scarred on the palms, too, along with a few minor face wounds that have been patched up.
it's about what you'd expect from 80 years fighting to survive. ]
but anyway she nods, taking stock of where each injury is and making a mental note to herself to follow up with jonas again after the trial for more healing if any of this happens to be painful.]
...it looks like you've been through a lot. But it sounds like, to you, you were in that place for a long time.
It was...over a hundred years, if I counted right. [ so a lot of time to accumulate all of this. ] Which doesn't make sense here, but I can't erase that time either.
They'll just need to wait... these things take time. As the God of Wisdom, I know about brains. You can tell them that I said so and to take it up with me if they get pushy about wanting you to remember things faster.
[ that just gets a laugh out of him, even if it's slightly confused. right. right, nahida is a god...nahida is much older than she appears. nahida has years of wisdom behind her. these are facts he knew before but have been buried with time. ]
I'll be sure to send them your way. I get the feeling nobody would actually argue too hard with anything you think and agree with.
I think it helps that you're even considering the fact that it's a big responsibility. [ humility, he means. ] People like you and people trust you because you make them feel like they can. That's the best thing you could do.
Okay but consider...that sometimes it is embarrassing to have to ask somebody to heal you. Most of us want to try and take care of ourselves, but it can be easier if somebody makes a convincing argument.
I think...you're doing a s good of a job as you can. It'll be up to those people to figure out how to approach for help. If they don't, there's always a chance they'll come around later if they realize you just have their best interests in mind.
Or I could just take pictures of them from a distance to heal them without them knowing... I've done that a few times. If I do a little at a time, maybe they'll just think it recovered naturally on their own and they won't feel bad about it.

...it might not hurt, yeah. We have basic first aid but an actual healer could help make sure nothing's too messed up.

And this way I'll know what I need to heal on Saturday after everything is over if any more of your injuries open back up.
[except she'll be uNCURSING SHU so she won't be able to]

Really? Hehe, that's kind of a scary thought. I'll try to use that power for good.

she's quiet for a moment, considering that, and then she puts her hands on her hips.]
...well, if it means that people listen to me when I tell them to take care of themselves, or rest, or let people heal them, that's a good thing.
