Yes... most things involve some degree of trial and error, so I suppose it isn't unexpected, but the consequences of the errors here have the potential to be severe. It's a little unsettling to think about, but if that's the way it is, then that's the way it is. We may wish it's otherwise but we have to plan around the reality.

...as far as I'm concerned, we may all have separate teams, but... as Players, we're all essentially in the same boat. Rather than thinking of each other as enemies and nothing else, we should do what we have to in order to survive while also looking for solutions that will allow us to help each other.

I'm not ready to accept that only one of our teams can win just yet.

[ she sounds very much like alex right now and it's just something jonas has been hearing in stereo this weekend. he can't say if he agrees or disagrees yet because it's far too soon to see where everyone else falls, but...it's a nice, idealistic version of things.

you'd think people would agree that they're all in the same boat and should be helping each other. but that's only if you don't think about people who are self-motivated, or people who want to end things quickly, or even people who're just kind of assholes and don't care about what's going on with other people.

It's a nice way of looking at it. And I don't think that's bad. We have to do the best we can for as long as we can, and the only way we can do that is with other people anyway.

will this turn into an "us against them" thing eventually? maybe. will nahida have to accept that there isn't a solution to save everyone eventually? quite possibly. but for right now, there are still so many unknowns. it might be easier to accept it at face value and to harden her heart against the other teams, but...

Exactly. We don't have to feel pressured to ask all our questions at once... it's okay to take our time and consider what it is we really want to ask.
