D's chest is rising and falling, yes. The goat-tiger also rises and falls gently. It peers down at her from its perch, watchful. It looks grumpy, but more in the resting bitch face way.

People from my time call them dragonflies; they're much smaller. Though I think they were once called Devil's Fly, but it was mistranslated to dragon because the words were similar. [He glances at her.] Crystalflies?

What are they like?

Huh... [nahida ponders the fossil and wonders how much smaller dragonflies actually are now. me googling to see if genshin has dragonflies bc they do have butterflies and it doesn't? look like they do? but i found a fanon wiki that says there are dragonflies from fontaine that smell like lemons and now i'm like "how do you guys come up with this stuff"] Is there a reason they're so much smaller now?

[probably the big ones were too easy to see and smack out of the sky when people got scared...]

They're elemental life-forms. They look almost like butterflies, but their wings are shaped differently, and they tend to be colored depending on which sources of elemental energy they form near. They're usually found near Statues of the Seven, where there's a high concentration of elemental power...

The ones you find in Sumeru have bright green wings, with darker green markings and orange tips. Their cores look almost like emeralds, but brighter. Hmm... maybe more like peridots?
