Oh, maybe! If waking up their clients was the last part of their day, that would make a lot of sense. Even if they overslept the next day, they'd still have plenty of time to get ready for their jobs.

I guess so. [ he glances around at the different displays and paintings he can see in the distance. ] I've never spent a lot of time in museums, but people seem to like them because there's always so much to look at. Did they have stuff like this in Sumeru?
Hmm... sometimes, the Akademiya will display certain artifacts for research purposes. Other times, scholars will come together to present their findings, and that often ends up with things like these exhibits.
But... we don't really have anything permanent like this. It might be interesting if we did.

There's a lot of famous ones where I'm from. Not that I've gone to them or anything but people from all over the world go to visit them and see what's there. I guess there's something about having history in front of you that people like seeing.
There's a museum on the east coast you'd probably love. [ nahida does not know where that is, but he continues. ] I've never been, but I've read about it online. It's a big area with like twenty different buildings full of stuff like this on all kinds of subjects. History, art, space...you could spend a lot of time there and still not see everything.

Well, then... what kinds of things do you like? Other than museums. This place seems to be all about history, but I bet we can find something about the history of one of your interests if we look hard enough.
Good to know scavenger hunts are a multi-world thing. I don't remember the last time I've ever been on one. But maybe that's something we'll end up doing here as a mission someday? What're the chances?
Yeah. Plus if missions are about teamwork, what better way than having teams work together to find stuff? It sounds pretty straightforward. Not a lot of effort on the reapers' part either.

It wouldn't surprise me... for the most part we all seem to be willing to cooperate with each other, but we keep getting reminders that this is a competition.
Eeeevery day. [ thanks everybody. thanks reapers. thanks brain. ] We keep getting all the messages about how cooperation's not going to work in the longrun, but so far people seem to be ignoring it. I can't tell if it's because they think it'll work differently or what.
I think, deep down... people tend to be optimistic at heart, even when they act like they're not. It's possible that as we get further into this, it will get harder and harder to keep cooperating with each other.
But... it's hard to let go of the hope that we might be able to work together rather than against each other.
It's a really nice way of thinking of it, Nahida. [ he can't say he agrees or disagrees because it's such a weird area right now, but he does think there are plenty of people will hold onto hope until the last minute.

I think...right now we're still strangers, in a lot of ways. But I wonder if that will change the longer we're here. We might all be in the same city for so long, but people are going to have different opinions of other people. [ i.e. some people might still be strangers and working together seems impossible. ]

...how we all interact with each other as time goes on is going to shape how we approach things. And the types of missions we're given, as well as the things we deal with on the weekends... that's going to shape how we interact with each other. There are a lot of variables here.
There's also the fact the reapers have said we can work with other teams on missions to earn points for both sides, but there's no guarantee that's what people will go with. But I kind of wonder if maybe that's what we should do? If the missions aren't the most important part of this game, it doesn't hurt to use them as a chance to work with others to try and make Saturdays easier.
